CSHL limits team rosters to 10 skaters and 2 goalies.
Whenever more players than this register to play for a given school, or a sufficient number of players register which would permit the school to form more than one team, CSHL holds a tryout which is intended to trim the number of players to the league maximum, and/or determine which team the player is to be assigned. CSHL also evaluates the overall skill of the team(s) during this process to determine which competitive division the team is to be placed.
Can't Attend Your Tryout?
Click here to inform us, and we will work with you on a makeup. Include as a minimum the following information:
You will probably be asked to attend a tryout with another team. All players must tryout in order to be placed on a team. Players who are not able to attend a tryout, and/or do not arrange for a makeup will be cut from the team. (We don't care how good you are)
Player Cut Procedure
Players who are cut from their teams will be notified by e-Mail. Note that we are unable to make final decisions until all players have tried out, so if you have some players that have to attend makeups after your tryout, this may delay notification.
Cut players will be offered the option to be placed with another team, if they wish, however this is dependent upon position availability, and players are placed in the order they registered during the open registration period. Note that players that are cut from their team and are not able (or do not wish) to be placed with other teams are due full refunds by the league.
